A member asked:

Does antibiotics for yeastinfection affect bc pills? i've missed pills & had u.p sex to. will i bleed during placebo if pregnant & when will it show?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Taking antibiotics can decrease the efficacy of oral contraceptive pills, but probably not the pills you were taking for candida. Notwithstanding, missing pills is much more likely to cause a contraceptive failure than the antibiotics. Pregnancy could cause you to bleed early, but check a home pregnancy test about 4 weeks from the start of your last period.
