You decide: The last three articles looking at omega-3's in the inuit population have satisfied me that these oils aren't the key to preventing atherosclerosis. They may have other uses as in systemic inflammatory disease (notably rheumatoid arthritis); i can't address this. There's no fixed dose for these things, but they're safe enough, find what makes you feel good.
