Many treatments: First choice for garden variety "arthur" itis is generally acetaminophen. Next choice is non steroidal antiinflammatory drug such as ibuprofen. After that there are a wide variety of medications which can be tried. Some have potential side effects. Hydroxychloroquine, methotrexate, injections of steroids, topical agents, glucosamine / chondroitin, narcotics, etc.
