Psy if sure anxiety: If you're sure anxiety is causing it, then you should get some help from a therapist. Relaxation techniques + cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt) can help manage anxiety, and meds may offer added benefit. Anxiety is often accompanied by increased heart rate, and intestinal activity, since both help the body prepare for fight or flight situations. These can be distressing if no real danger exists.
