Is it possible to get a heart attack as a 19 year old?

Heart attack: It is possible for a 19year old to have a heart attack but it is relatively unusual. Often there is a family history of premature coronary disease or congenital arterial malformation. That said, most cardiologists see a heart attack in a teen ager at some point in their career.

Unusual: Possible congenital coronary anomalies are known and can cause ischemia. Aortic dissections can occur and involve coronaries. Even atherosclerosis can occur in some high risk hyperlipemia patients.
