Is it mandatory for you to receive the meningitis shot as a teen in the us?

Interesting question: Some private secondary schools/colleges require this for entrance into their student body. This is primarily to prevent spread of a germ that can transfer easily and attack and kill within 24-48 hours, even if diagnosed and treated.I am not aware of any public schools that make this mandatory but this may vary by institution.
