Medical Evaluation: A thorough medical evaluation is definitely in order. Potential causes would be hypothryoidism, medication, colon obstruction, laxative dependence, toxic megacolon, etc. At any rate it can be a surgical emergency, so contact a physician as soon as possible. There is nothing to fear as these conditions are easily treatable. Waiting is the greatest risk.

Magnesium: Magnesium supplementation can work like a charm! the problem with magnesium tablets is that they often pass through the digestive system without being digested -- thus you derive no benefit. I recommend peter gilham's natural vitality calm, a powdered form of magnesium (which makes it very "bioavailable"). It is great for constipation, musculoskeletal tension, headaches, anxiety, stress.
