No : No these are 2 different types of treatments for ed. The "air" vacuum pump may be used for 30 min and engorges the penis with the use of a band at the base of the penis. The penis is firm due to the suction of the vacuum device. The penile prosthesis gives a very hard more natural erection. This is totally enclosed with the pump in the scrotum and no limit on the time of erection.
