Is it possible for a doctor to find out if your period was actually a miscarriage after the fact?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Renee Harris
36 years experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Depends: If the testing is done very close to the time of the miscarriage, with blood work, it is possible. After the miscarriage, the blood levels rapidly drop off making it harder to tell.
