Prosthodontist: See a prosthodontist for evaluation and treatment options. They are specially trained in this , as well as complex restorative needs. If needed, they can team up with other specialists to best help you. Don't feel alone, about 85% of my patients grind, and the general population numbers are similar. Wise to seek help before too much more damage occurs. Good luck.

Bruxism: Speak to your dentist who can determine the severity of your problem. In many cases, a simple bruxism appliance can be fabricated.

Orthopedic Dentist: The cause of bruxism is rarely adequately treated. Most dentist make a bite appliance for you to wear to keep from grinding away the teeth. This is only treating the symptom and not the cause. The frequent cause is the roof of your mouth (palate) is too narrow in comparison to the lower jaw. The muscles not finding their home position keep searching = bruxism results.
