A member asked:

Can you live a long life after getting cured of cancer or are there still risks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Of course...: That's a yes to both questions. Of course, one can live a full and healthy life after a cancer has been cured (defined as 5 year cancer free survival.) did you know that over 90% of women who have breast cancer survive to die of another cause, usually pulmonary, cardiac, or old age? You may develop another cancer altogether. So, eat right, follow your doctor, make healthy choices. Good luck.
