Oral hygiene: Bruash and floss daily and rinse with a good over the counter plaque suppressant. If that doesn't work get yourself into a dentist to prevent disease progression.

Daily care: Proper daily home care is your best bet, that means brushing twice a day with Fluoride toothpaste, flossing, and possibly even using mouthwash if desired. A regular check up and cleaning every 6 months will make sure nothing is getting out of control. You dentist or hygienist can review with you proper technique for brushing and flossing. Best of luck! stay practical with the regimen.

Treat the cause: A tooth brush reaches about 1/3 of the way toward the gum infection. Floss removes about 15% of the bacteria, scraping leave all of the bacteria that cause the problem try something like the perio protect method where you can direct a medication into the infected area where you can kill/control the cause of the disease.
