See Dentist: Take 1 regular Aspirin + 1 regular tylenol (acetaminophen) along with an antibiotic (like amoxicillin) and get to the dentist that can do extractions asap. They may suggest a root canal treatment or an extraction. However this infection that you have needs to be dealt with now or it will spread.

Dental Appointment!: Like a splinter in your finger, dental pain exists because there is a problem. Would you take pain medication and antibiotics to manage the splinter? Not likely: you would take it out! see your dentist. Solve the problem. Take fewer meds & be well :-).

It depends...: A thorough examination and perhaps some x-rays can assist in finding the cause. Please see a dentist....There is no substitute for that...

Abscess: Tooth pain is most likely caused by a cavity that extends into the pulp, inflaming the nerve and causing the excruciating pain you describe. The infection could also be spread throughout the pulp causing an abscess (see picture). Please see a dentist as soon as possible to have the pain diagnosed and treated with a filling, root canal, or extraction.
