Could be scabies: Sounds like you may have scabies. Usually, the itching is worse at night. It will continue to spread if it is not treated. Treatment involves overnight application of a scabicide cream like euracin--and repeat application 5-7 days later. Also, probably need to treat anyone with whom you've been in close contact.
