Missed period: If you have historically been 28-32 days between periods, and your period is 3-5 days later than average, if pregnancy is possible, get a serum HCG test from your healthcare provider. If not, ask your provider about oral contraceptives, which if there is no contraindication, will definitely regulate your cycles if taken as directed.
