It is not too bad!: A high white count is commonly due to infection. Infections can be anywhere in the body but common sites are in the urinary tract(bladder or kidney) in women. And upper airways in anyone(pneumonia for example). If you feel well and do not have any fever then we would need to be more concerned. I would have you repeat it and let us know the WBC count and % of neutrophils(diffferential count).

Fighters: That is a little high-normal. The neutrophils are the marines. They appear first in response to any infectious assault, but can also be elevated after being on a steroid, or with significant stress. By itself, does not indicate anything bad.
