Synthroid (thyroxine) better: Synthroid is a brand name t4, levothyroxine is the name of the generic. Many studies have indicated the brand name is more reliable and consistent. However, your insurance company will probably want you to take the generic because it's cheaper. A yugo is cheaper than a cadillac, but they are both cars -- so they're the same thing -- right?
