Why does chromosomal analysis take so long? if something is found would it be found quickly or would the results take longer?

Takes a couple of we: Chromosomal analysis does take time as the cells have to be cultured and grown for sometime before they divide and display their chromosomes. But it should not take more than 1-2 weeks to get the reports.
