A member asked:

Do women sometimes report more painful periods after having their tubes tied?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but....: This is not unusual, but it's not because of the tubal ligation. Many women have been on some sort of birth control or pregnant. Without either, chemicals called prosaglandins are produced in association with ovulation that cause uterine contractions/cramps.
