Not reported.: If it occurs, probably another cause, not the simivistatin. I could find only one citation on simvistatin and cutaneous vasculitis, a case report of one. Not an issue!

Rare: Statin-related hypersensitivity pneumonitis has been previously reported, using either pravastatin, Lovastatin or simvastatin. As common as the use of statins is, the risk of developing hypersensitivity pneumonitis seems very low. See article from 2002 at http://erj.Ersjournals.Com/content/19/3/577.Long.

No: Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is mostly associated with inhaled particles. That the body has a reaction to). Typically with molds, bacteria etc. This may be associated with certain hobbies. A classic cause is related to having a pet bird. There are some drugs which can cause and inflammation of the lung that is similar, amiodarone the antiarrythmic is one, some cancer drugs, not usually statins.
