A member asked:

I have had 2 positive ana tests & 1 negative. i was just dx'd with small fiber axonopathy. i have pots/dysautonomia. what r the chances it's autoimmun?

Possible: There are a number of causes for small fibre neuropathy, and if associated with lupus, would of course be autoimmune, but other categories could include toxins, such as industrial solvents, alcohol and nutritional issues, and even early presentation of diabetes. Cancer at a distance, para-neoplastic syndromes may present this way rarely. Your doc will guide all of this.
