Is advil (ibuprofen) safe to take all the time for pain?

Not agood idea: Probably not a good idea since it may cause gastrointestinal upset, GI bleeding, cardiac problems and especially kidney toxicity. You should seek medical advice as to why you are in need of a medicine for pain relief.

Good question.: Advil, (ibuprofen) one of the over-the-counter nsaids (anti-inflammatory meds), is enteric coated and therefore tolerated gi-wise more so than some rx varieties. Nevertheless it is still the same drug and eventually has the same potential side effects. In certain conditions, certain situations, this may be your best bet, but that decision must be discussed with your doc to monitor your body's resonses.
