Many things: Cough can be caused by many etiologies. Some common ones include bronchitis or other upper respiratory infections, asthma, allergies with post nasal drip, or esophageal reflux disease. Sometimes chronic cough's can be caused by whooping cough(pertussis) or fungal infections which can be seen in the area which you live. Medications can also cause a cough. Please see your doc for evaluation.

Cough: Cough could be many things but the four most common are 1. Medications; 2. Asthma; 3. Post nasal drainage; 4. Reflux/heartburn. You really should see an allergist or an ENT for further evaluation and treatment. Remember, based on your age....It could be a combination of all four.

Possibilities...: Possibilities include bronchospasm, gerd, post-nasal drip or a combination of factors. As all the treatments are different for these diagnoses, you would need an eval by your doctor so the precise diagnosis and proper treatment can be initiated. (i think you mean mucous and not music!) good luck!
