Usually OK: This is usually not a worrisome issue. The warning signs are if you have nausea, vomiting, weight loss, unusual pain, or changes in your bowel habits. These should prompt you to visit your doctor. The more common causes are eating too fast, lactose intolerance, or consuming lots of insoluble fiber that leads to gas production. Rarely, gurgling means you have an intestinal obstruction.
