Within normal limits: Creatinie levels depend on the muscle mass and to some extent on the intake of meat. A level of 1.08 is within normal limits. You may wish to ask your doctor for the estimated glomerular filteration rate that will add to the value of measuing creatinine.

Creatinine level: To get an estimation of your kidney function (GFR) you need to enter your sex, age, weight, creatinine (c) level into the cockcroft-gault formula (cgf) and the result is your estimated gfr. The cgf is found on the web. You can also go to a nephrololgist to have a 24 hour urine collection cratinine clearance to see what your GFR is really is.
