Family practice : Your prostate is probably enlarged. You don't empty your bladder entirely. Which causes you to void more frequently. Getting up at night to urinate is a sign of an enlarged prostate the popping you felt is probably related to to it trying to open up. If there is no pain and you were able to urinate you are fine to wait to see your dr. Call him and let him know what's going on.
