woke up and my left side all my joints hurt really bad what causes that?

May not be arthritis: Hard to say since it is one sided. Do you sleep on your left side? Need to be clear it is really the joints. Need to note if they are swollen. Different things could cause left sided pain. It could be mechanical, muscular, soft tissue rheumatism. Need to know how long this morning pain last?
