Painfully: Piles, commonly known as hemorrhoids, have been around since the old testament. Having hemorrhoids is normal - they are designed to help us be continent of stool. Having symptomatic hemorrhoids is not normal. Internal hemorrhoids commonly cause rectal bleeding and can fall out with bowel movements - called prolapse. External hemorrhoids can cause pain. Daily fiber is a good first step.
