Lymph node: There're several reasons why a lymph node could become red and swollen. Most commonly would be an infection or other inflamation. Also could possibly be due to cancer. Sometimes these are not lymph nodes but other masses like cysts or lipomas. Would recommend evaluation by your physician.

It should be : Biopsied to ensure that it has not turned cancerous. A head and neck surgeon should be able to assist you in the process. Good luck!
