Normal:-) : 6 week olds have very loud gurgly tummies. I call them "volcano belly". This is normal and is not related to the speed of your milk flow, though yours does sound fast. Persistalsis is the term for the normal movement of the intestines. So yes, the milk is causing peristalsis because it is supposed to. If your baby is gaining weight easily, relax mama and enjoy your 90 second speed feedings.

Probably: I agree that this may cause these contractions. If your baby is happy , healthy and not excessively fussy, there are no problems. Relax !

Normal : This is usually just because you have rapid let down and also because it is so easy to hear baby's insides working. If it makes her choke or makes her very burpy or gassy, some moms choose to express the first let down before latching baby on. Peristalsis is the normal movement of the intestines, and swallowing in young babies does cause rapid peristalsis and then stooping a few minutes later.

Probably normal: Peristalsis is a series of wave-like contractions, Liquids & food are propelled through the intestine in this manner. Contractions are aren't well-coordinated till ~ 2 months. Babies swallow air when crying or bottle-feeding, but not breastfeeding. If there are no symptoms other than audible gurgling, ask a lactation specialist to watch her nurse if you think she's not latching on properly.
