Please clarify: If, as a child, you persistently ate nonnutritive substances (inappropriate for your developmental level) you might have been diagnosed with pica. If, as an adult, you have a new and persistent desire to eat dirt, this would require evaluation by a psychiatrist/psychologist for an appropriate diagnosis. But, this is not considered an eating disorder.
