A member asked:

I have mal-absorption and my hair is falling out. what do you advise?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Testing: Is this new or chronic? Malabsorption and low protien intake will explain the hair loss. Celiac sprue is a possible cause which is an allergy to gluten and other sx include diarrhea, weight loss, fatigue, iron deficiency and vit amin d deficiency. See your primary doctor or a gastroenterologist ( gi) for testing.
