Benzoyl peroxide2.5%: Benzoyl peroxide in the lowest strength available (2.5%) increase skin cell turnover and has both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It can be drying, so be careful when making a purchase since it can be found in 20% concentrations. If you overdry you will have rebound oiliness.

Simple regimen: I like benzoyl peroxide 2 x daily as it kills bacteria in the skin. Add a salycilic acid wash and a non-comedogenic moisturizer and you have a good start. I add tea tree oil to the regimen to apply to pimples when they do arise and i also recommend a high dose vitamin a supplement like vitamedica healthy skin (has 12, 500 iu vit a in it) and as a result i'm using much less Accutane for severe acne!
