Self-hugging is a: Characteristic of smith-magenis syndrome, as is " lick & flip" that looks like licking your finger to turn a page. It's from a deletion or, less commonly, a mutation, of a gene on chr. 17. Tourette syndrome can cause many different complex motor tics that may include repetitive touching of body parts. A "stereotypy" in autism can be tensing & tightening the torso & arms at the same time.
