I have had the mirena (levonorgestrel) for a year and a half, still spotting frequently, sometimes 3 out of 4 weeks of the month. why and should i have it removed?

It can cause that: If u want no more kids u are better off having an in office essure tubal , takes 5 minutes easy safe, effective and then after that if u want no periods, u can get an in office endometrial ablation, periods are worthless if u do not want any more pregnancy, i see a lot of problems with iuds , some people can do fine but a lot do not.

Gynecologist opinion: If you are having such problems with your intrauterine device it might be a good idea to have it removed. Discuss the situation with your gynecologist for advice and opinion.
