At your age...: I would focus on getting adequate calcium (1.200 - 1, 500mg a day). Try and get at least half of your calcium from your diet rather that relying on supplements. Vitamin d, 2, 000 + units a day is also very important. A 43 year old man shouldn't have osteoporosis, so checking for medications that are causing a problem, or other medical problems could be helpful.
