PCOS or thyroid isue: If you are normal weight then get thyroid checked, if not then weight loss. I assume you had periods at one point, that is the weight you'd need to get back to. If no menses ever then the condition becomes more complicated.

Irregular periods: Reasons for irregularity include weight gain or loss, breastfeeding, alcohol use, eating disorders, marked emotional stress, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, cervical polyps, polycystic ovarian syndrome, excessive exercise & pregnancy.
