A member asked:

Can a projection clock damage eyes i adjust the time and i look straight into he hole to adjust time is has a red light ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not advisable : Looking into any light for an extended period of time can damage the macula, the center part of the retina, the light sensitive tissue that lines the back of the eye & gives sight. Projector clocks use led or filament light sources, which do not have the same severe damaging potential as a laser. Prolonged staring into any light source can damage the macula. Check with the manufacturer.
