The rotator cuff is comprised of four small muscles, the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis and teres minor. Rotator cuff tear: There are 4 muscles and tendons that make up the rotator cuff giving the shoulder lifting and rotational strength as well as contributing to stability of the shoulder joint.
