Can be inflammation: Sometimes, when there is residual mucus in the throat or bronchus, it can narrow the airway passage. Narrowed passage can cause turbulent air flow when breathing in and out causing a noise like a whistle. If it gets worse or breathing is worse, see a doctor. If it gets better, mucus and inflammation are likely improving.
