Baby acne: Infant skin is often a mess in the first months. While it was well nourished in the womb, birth brings environmental and system changes that result in skin issues. Hormones that help maintain pregnancy begin to decline in the tissue & trigger a transient baby acne in most. It starts by 2-4 wks & usually fades by 4-6m. Skin reactions to soaps, lotions & other products are also common.
