What are the differences between blood vessels and lymphatic vessels?

Red vs. amber: Blood vessels carry and return blood throughout the body. Lymph vessels only return excess interstitial fluid back to the central circulation. Blood vessels are much larger than lymph vessels. The collecting system for blood (the veins) and the lymph eventually drain into the vena cava.

Vessels: Arteries and veins carry blood, and lymphatic vessels carry lymphatic fluid. They are all separate tracks and have unique purposes.
