A member asked:

What will my doctor do or say about that i might have gender dysphoria?

Hard to predict: We would like to think that physicians and other health professionals would be open-minded and non-judgmental in terms of their patients' medical or psychological conditions. Unfortunately, these caregivers may share their own personal biases and disapproval with you. Pcp's are not likely to address gender dysphoria issues, and referral to a mental health professional would be appropropriate.

Supportive: Doctors work with their patients to find the most healthy, balanced, and realistic outcome for any health issue, so talk to your doctor and work with him and you will find him receptive good luck.
