Common: As a woman’s pregnancy progresses, the weight of the baby can shift her center of gravity which can stress the back and lead to pain. There can be pain of the back and the legs. If you develop pain in the calf with swelling, warmth or discoloration that would warrant prompt medical evaluation.

Common: It can be both from the increase in weight as well as the change in the way you move related to the change in the center of gravity with the weight gain. The weight gain happens faster than you can develop muscles to adjust to the change in the way you use your body. In addition later in the pregnancy you will develop a hormone called relaxin which loosens the ligaments that allow the birth.
