Yes it may: Particularly large breasts may cause the shoulders to roll forward and cause excessive forward rotation of the upper back known as exaggerated thoracic kyphosis. It is quite common for some to report near immediate relief of back discomfort as soon as awakening in the recovery room although this is not typical of all patients.
