Side effects: All medications cause side effects because they are affecting the functioning of the system at some level. If a medication does not produce a side effect, possibly it is not effective for anything at all. Side effects are mostly seen at the beginning of the treatment, and some subside with time. If a side effect persists, the doctor should assess the benefits versus the risks of that treatment.
