Vaginal blood: It is not uncommon for a small amount of menstrual blood, usually as a small clot, to get retained in the vagina during a normal period. This will then flow out as a thin brownish discharge up to a week later. This is completely harmless. If you are not having any other symptoms, there is no need to be concerned.
