Depends on Cause : Many chronic kidney diseases are progressive and do not improve even with therapy. Some, such as wegener's or lupus, in the acute phase have tremendous improvement with treatment. Frequently acute kidney injury can be reversed. I suggest a visit with your provider. Also, stop any nsaids, exercise, eat a low sodium and low protein diet, correct hypertension, and lose weight.
