A member asked:

How long does bleeding postpartum last after you give birth?

Dr. Liza Kunz answered

Variable: Bleeding is typically common throughout the first month postpartum, but has usually stopped by the time of your post partum visit at 6 weeks. If you are bleeding more than a pad an hour, passing clots, or having your bleeding get heavier rather than lighter, you should call your doctor.
