Fiber: Eating high fiber can leave a residue in the colon making it more difficult to see with the camera during colonoscopy. Essentially the preparation may be worse making smaller lesions easier to miss.

May be a bad prep: We tend to recommend a low-fiber diet a few days before a colonoscopy because at times the fiber can cause a residue that coats the colon making it difficult for the endoscopist to find polyps.
